When Homer and come out of a theatre where there is a long line-up because The Empire Strike Back is playing. When Homer walks past the people in
the line-up he says "Wow! Who would have thought Darth Vader was Luke’s
father!", earning the anger of everyone in the line-up for whom he spoiled
the movie. Also, he comments to Marge that she is "pretty as Princess Leia

The shot of Mr. Burns' escape pod being released is similar to the shot of
the escape pod that R2D2 and C-3PO were in when it was released in A New

Ralph's diorama is his Star Wars action figures including Skinner's favourite, Chewie. At

'Round Springfield
When Bleeding Gums Murphy dies and Lisa gets his record to be played over
the radio, he appears to her in a cloud formation to thank her. Then Mufasa
from the Lion King appears as does Darth Vader saying "Luke, I am your

Mayored To The Mob
At the Sci-Fi Convention, a guy in a Chewbecca outfit is told the
convention is full, C-3PO and R2-D2 will compete in a wrestling tag team match
and Mark Hamill makes an appearance. When Hamill asks fora volunteer to play
Obi-Wan, everybody argues over why they should be Obi-Wan and they start a riot. Mayor Quimby tells Hamill to use his lightsabre but Hamill tells him
that Lucas makes himpay for broken lightsabres.
At the end of the episode, a sign in the window of the Springfield Dinner Theater says "Mark Hamill IS Nathan Detroit" starring in "Guys and Dolls." He
sings "Luke be a Jedi tonight! Just be a Jedi tonight! Do it for Yoda while we
serve our guests a soda," and also "do it for Chewie and the Ewoks." And Homer thinks he hears Hamill tell him to use the force against the
Mafia, but Hamill repeats and says use the forks. (Schlueter) |

The comic book guy tells the car wash attendant to be careful with his bumper
stickers. He tells him that the one that says "my other car is the Millennium

Items at the Planet Springfield include models of X-Wing and TIE Fighters and

Treehouse Of Horror X
In the segment where Bart and Lisa get superpowers, the Comic Book Guy kidnaps
Lucy Lawless and one of the names she can call him is Obi-Wan. Also, George
Lucas is one of the people in the collection. When Lawless attacks, the Comic
Book Guy opens a lightsabre package from The Phantom Menace. Lawless
tells him that because he opened the package, it is no longer a collector's

Hungry, Hungry Homer
"Duffman has a bad feelin' about this" is similar to the often-used "I have
a bad feeling about this" line. Also, Duffman's moment of doubt and lifting
Howard K. Duff VI over his head and throwing him over a fence is similar to
Vader's victory over Emperor Palpatine in Return Of The Jedi. (Schlueter)

Yoda administers the wedding between the gypsy and the leprechaun and says

In the opening of the episode where Marge spends the weekend with Arty Ziff, the Comic Book
Guy is sleeping with a Jar Jar Binks doll and he says to the doll that he likes Jar Jar even if
nobody else does like Jar Jar. There is a Jabba the Hutt figurine in the bottom left corner, some Star Wars action figures and a lightsabre are on the desk, a Storm Trooper costume is in
the corner, a Star Wars poster are on one side of the wall and pictures of Mark Hamill and
Yoda are on the other side, an Ewok clock is hanging on the wall and a TIE fighter and the
Millenium Falcon are hanging from the ceiling. Also, the Comic Book Guy is wearing Chewbecca

In Frinkstein, Frink's father has taken the Comic Book Guy's butt that
has a Jabba the Butt tattoo. In Time Stoppers, in the mob chasing Bart

The Star Wars movies are parodied throughout the first part of the March 21 episode as
the Simpsons watch Cosmic Wars and Bart and Lisa go to director Randall Curtis's ranch to
tell him to not change his movies. The lineup at the movie shows people dressed as the movies'
characters and when the movie comes on the screen, everybody raises their red and yellow
lightsabres. An Imperial Walker that talks crashes the council meeting that keeps going on
throughout the movie and a character called Jam Jim is a Jar Jar look-a-like. (Schlueter)
