A League Of Their Own

Canada. Also, a newsreel notes that there is a women's league in Canada.
Sir John Abbott was Canada's fourth prime minister
and was born in St. Andrews, Lower Canada (Quebec) on March 12, 1821, making him
the first Canadian-born prime minister. He was appointed prime minister after
Sir John A. MacDonald death and was in office from June 16, 1891 until his
resignation on November 24, 1892. He died in Montreal on October 30, 1893.
Sid Abel was on February 22, 1918, in Melville,
Saskatchewan. He played in the NHL and centered the Detroit Red Wings'
"Production Line" with Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsay.
Bryan Adams was born in Kingston, Ontario and lives
in British Columbia. His hit songs include Summer of 69, Run To
You and Everything I Do.
He wrote songs for the animated film Spirit: Stallion of the
Cimarron. He also helped raised funds for cancer at a British Columbia
concert with the Barenaked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan and Jann Arden.
Pamela Lee Anderson was born in British Columbia.
She was a B.C. Lions cheerleader and was on the cover of Playboy magazine. She
was the original tool girl on Home Improvement and soon joined the cast
of Baywatch.
She starred and produced the t.v. show V.I.P. and an animated t.v.
series Strippella and comedy called Stacked. Also, she started her
own clothing line.

d'habitude.
Syl Apps was born in Paris, Ontario on January 18,
1915. He played hockey with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1936 to 1948.
April Wine is a Nova Scotia-based quartet whose
hits include You Could Have Been A Lady (1972) and Oowatanite (1975).
Jann Arden who was born in Calgary on March 7, 1962
and lives in British Columbia is a singer/songwriter. Her hits include Insensitive and I Would Die For You.

should remain in the "great province of Ottawa."
Margaret Atwood was born in Ottawa on November 18,
1939 and is a prolific Canadian writer. Her 1986 book, The Handmaid's
Tale and her 1988 book, Cat's Eye were nominated for the Booker
prize.
Dan Aykroyd was born in Ottawa. He was a member of Saturday Night Live and starred in Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters
2 and Driving Miss Daisy. He has hosted the PSI Factor: Files of
Paranormal.
