Neve Campbell was born on October 3, 1973 in Guelph, Ontario. She starred in the t.v. series Party of Five and the Scream trilogy and the 2003 film The Company, where she co-wrote, produced, and starred in the film.

Canadarm is a mechanical arm used on the Space Shuttle to maneuver a payload from the payload bay of the orbiter to its deployment position and then release it. It can also grapple a free-flying payload, maneuver it to the payload bay of the orbiter and berth it in the orbiter. It was first used on the second Space Shuttle mission STS-2, launched November 13, 1981.

SPAR Aerospace Ltd., designed, developed, tested and built the SRMS. Also, there is the Canadarm2, a robotic arm that is part of the International Space Station.

John Candy was born in Toronto on October 31, 1950. He was an original member of SCTV and starred in the movies Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) and Cool Runnings (1993). He died on March 4, 1994 from a heart attack while filming in Mexico.

He is well known for his work in World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment as Christian. He initially rose through the ranks as one half of the tag team Edge and Christian, alongside his kayfabe brother and real-life long-time friend Edge.

George Chuvalo was born in Toronto on September 12, 1937. He is a 3-time Canadian heavyweight champion from 1958 to 1979. He fought several world champions including Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and George Foreman and was never knocked off his feet.

Frances "King" Clancy was born in Ottawa on February 23, 1903. He played defence with the Ottawa Senators (1921-30) and the Toronto Maple Leafs (1930-37). He died in Ottawa on November 10, 1986.

Joe Clark was born in High River, Alberta, on June 5, 1939. He was the prime minister of Canada from June 4, 1979 to March 3, 1980.

Tom Cochrane was born in Lynn Lake, Ontario, on May 14, 1953. He formed a Toronto-based quintet band called Red Rider in 1976. Their hits include Big League (1988) and Human Race. Tom Cochrane's solo songs include Life Is A Highway and he recently released a song about Muhammad Ali.

Lionel Conacher was born in Toronto on May 24, 1902. He was named Canada's Athlete of the Half Century (1900-50). He was a fullback and punter for the Toronto Argonauts (1921-25) and a NHL defenceman (1925-34). He also boxed, wrestled and played pro baseball and lacrosse and, later, a politician. He died on May 26, 1954.

Stompin Tom Connors was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, on February 13, 1936. He is a singer-songwriter and his hits include The Hockey Song. He refused a Juno award to protest against expatriation of Canadians.

Ernie Coombs was born in Lewiston, Maine, on November 26, 1927. He worked as a puppeteer on Mr. Rogers. In 1963, he moved to Canada and starred as Mr. Dressup in the Canadian children's t.v. show of the same name. He died in 2001.

Alice Cooper

In 1974, Alice Cooper threw a live chicken into the crowd at a Toronto concert where it was ripped to shreds. In that same year, a 13-year-old Calgary boy hanged himself copying a stunt that Cooper performed in his shows.

Cowboy Junkies is a Toronto-based quartet formed in 1987. Their hits include Sweet Jane.

David Cronenberg was born in Toronto on May 15, 1943. He is a filmmaker and his films include Scanners (1980), Dead Zone (1983), The Fly (1986), Naked Lunch (1991), M. Butterfly (1993) and Crash (1996).

Hume Cronyn was born in London, Ontario on July 18, 1911. He is a stage, t.v. and movie actor. He was nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actor in The Seventh Cross (1944).

He had a cameo in The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) and has been paired with Jessica Tandy in movies like Cocoon (1985). He died on June 15, 2003.

Burton Cummings was born in Montreal. He is a singer-songwriter and was the lead singer for The Guess Who.

Elisha Cuthbert is from Calgary. She stars in the t.v. series 24 with Kiefer Sutherland. She also co-hosted the kids show Popular Mechanics for Kids and starred in the movie The Girl Next Door.

Louis Cyr was born in St. Cyprien de Napierville, Quebec in 1863 and died in 1912. He was considered to be the world's strongest man from 1880 to 1900.
