A cherry-flavoured lollipop weighing 1,821.63 kg (3,226 lb) was made at the Hershey Foods Co. factory in Smith Falls, Ontario on June 25, 2002. The lollipop was 48 cm (18.9 in) thick, 159.5 cm (62.8 in) in diameter and 483.8 cm (190.5 in) long including the stick. (GWR 2004)

Largest Bag Of Cookies
Loblaws Supermarkets Ltd made a bag of 3.29 m (10 ft 8 in) long, 2.13 m (7 ft) deep and 114.3 cm (45 in) deep. The bag containing a total of 100,152 cookies was presented at Loblaws Wonderland Market in London, Ontario from September 6-7, 2001. (GWR 2004)

Largest Slab Of Fudge
Northwest Fudge Factory.Com, Ontario, created a slab of fudge that weighed 908.09 kg (2,002 lb) and measured 50.5 m (166 ft) in length, 23 cm (9 in) wide and 7.5 cm (3 in) high. The chocolate- and-vanilla-swill fudge, which took 86 hours to prepare and mold, was displayed at the New Sudbury Mall in Sudbury, Ontario on May 4, 2002. (GWR 2004)

The Chinook Centre in Calgary organized a hot breakfast for 8,337 people in the centre's parking lot on July 8, 2000 between 8:11 and 9:11 a.m. (GWR 2002)

Original Brooks Pizza 2 for 1 Ltd. in Alberta has sold pizzas measuring 1 X 1.25 m (3 X 4 ft) and weighing between 11-16 kg (25-35 lb). (GWR 2002)

M&M Meat Shops in partnership with J.M. Schneider Inc., Kitchener, Ontario, created a 28.77 miles of continuous sausage on April 28-29, 1995. (GWR 2001)

Largest Bucket of Maple Syrup
Rapid Duct Supply made a maple syrup bucket measuring 0.91 m (3 ft) in height, 0.96 m (3 ft 2 in) in diameter, with a 605 litre (133 gal) capacity for the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival, Ontario, held on April 1, 2000. (GWR 2003)

Largest Ice Cream Sundae
Palm Dairies Ltd. made an ice cream sundae weighing 24.91 tonnes (54,914 lb 13 oz) in Edmonton on July 24, 1988. Ingredients included 20.27 tonnes (44,689 lb 8 oz) of ice cream, 4.39 tonnes (9,688 lb 2 oz) of syrup and 243.7 kg (537 lb 3 oz) of topping. (GWR 2003)

Biggest Cheese
A 26.09-tonne (57,508-lb. 8-oz.) cheddar cheese was made by Loblaws Supermarkets Ltd. and Agropur Dairies at Granby, Quebec, on September 7, 1995. (GWR 1998)

A cherry pie with a 6.1 m (20 ft.) diameter and containing 16.69 tonnes (36,800 lb.) of cherry filling was baked by Olivier, British Columbia, Rotary Club members on July 14, 1990. (GWR 1998)

A bowl of strawberries weighing 2.39 tonnes (5,266 lb.) was filled at the Kitchener-Waterloo (now Grand River) Hospital, Ontario, on June 29, 1993. The strawberries were picked from Joe Moss Farms, Ontario. (GWR 1998)

Largest Mailbox
Canada Post Corporation erected a mailbox 5.43 X 2.64 X 1.98 m (17 ft 10 in X 7ft 2 in X 6 ft 6 in) in downtown Vancouver in December 2000. The scaled-up version of a standard mailbox was made of steel and over 40,000 children used it to send their letters to Santa by a climbing a set of stairs to the slot. Other letters were mailed and delivered as usual. (GWR 2004)

Largest Tin Soldier
The Sheet Metal Workers International Association and the British Columbia Sheet Metal Association constructed a tin soldier that is 9.75 m (32 ft) in height and weighs approximately 4.5 tonnes (9,900 lb). It is now on permanent display at New Westminister, British Columbia. (GWR 2004)

Longest Pool Toy
Industrial Thermo Polymers Ltd. of Brampton, Ontario, produced 5,280 ft (1,609.34 m) long 'pool noodle' on July 1, 2001. (GWR 2004)

Longest Hot Wheels Track
Mattel Canada Inc. and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada organized a Hot Wheels track measuring 502.92 m (1,650 ft) and consisted of 2,100 pieces of track held together by 2,150 connectors. It was completed at Thunder Alley in Toronto on July 7, 2002, and a car successfully completed the full length of the track. (GWR 2004)

Largest Needlepoint
Beginning in August 2000, Vahid Saadati along with a team of 650 volunteers created a needlepoint 4.44 X 7.49 m (14 ft 7 in X 24 ft 7 in). It depicts the word 'welcome' in 103 languages. (GWR 2004)

Largest Jeans
Levi Strauss Co. Inc. of Canada constructed a pair of jeans that are 28.6 m (94 ft) long and 18.8 m (62 ft) wide. The jeans were unveiled on July 31, 2001, and inflated to raise it to its full three-dimensional height. The jeans weighs 246.3 kg (543 lb), use more than 725 m² (7,805 ft²) of 10-oz denim and has a working 3.96-m-long (13-ft) zipper an embossed metal button. (GWR 2004)

Biggest Golf Tee
In September 1999, Des Sawa Jr. of Tobermory, Ontario, made a maple-wood golf tee that was 7 ft 4 in long, a head width of 18.5 in and a shaft width of 7.9 in. (GWR 2001)

Largest Piggy Bank
The CIBC's Maxmillion piggy bank, constructed in November 1995, is 4.7 m (15 ft 5 in) long, 2.64 m (8 ft 8 in) tall and 6.52 m (21 ft 45 in) in circumference. (GWR 2002)

Largest Axe
A steel axe measuring 18.28 m (60 ft) long, 7 m (23 ft) wide and weighing 7 tonnes (15,400 lb) was designed and built by BID Ltd. of Woodstock, New Brunswick. (GWR 2002)

The Saskatchewan Seniors' Association created a 47.36 x 25.20 m (155 ft. 4½ in. x 82 ft. 8 in.) on June 13, 1994. (GWR 1998)

Largest Painting By One Artist
Eric Waugh created a 3,846.18-m² (41,400-ft²) painting, entitled Hero, for World AIDS Day at the North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh, on December 1, 2001. Hero is twice the height of the Statue of Liberty. (GWR 2003)

Largest Rocking Chair
A giant, solid-wood rocking chair measuring 3.9 m (13 ft) tall, 2.4 m (8 ft) wide and weighing 771 kg (1,700 lb) was constructed by The Solid Wood Bed And Table Company in Ontario on February 2001. (GWR 2002)

Smallest Ruler
John McCaffrey and Jean-Marc Baribeau of the Institute for Microstructural Sciences at the National Research Council developed a ruler for very small lengths in an electron microscope. (GWR 2002)

Smallest Miniature Model Railway
Bob Henderson constructed a miniature model railway to 1:1400 scale. The railway engine measures 5 mm (½ in.). (GWR 1998)

Yonge Street, which starts at Lake Ontario in Toronto an goes to Rainy River on the Manitoba- Ontario border, is 1,893 km (1,178 miles 528 yd.) long. (GWR 1998)

Longest Artificial Seaway
The St. Lawrence Seaway stretches 304 km (189 miles) along the Ontario-New York border from Montreal to Lake Ontario. It allows ships up to 222 m (728 ft.) long and 8 m (26 ft 3 in.) from draught to sail from the North Atlantic to enter the Great Lakes. (GWR 1998)

Longest Continuously Oversea Bridge
The Confederation Bridge linking Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick is 11 km (6 miles 1,478 yd.) long opened in June 1997. (GWR 1998)

The bridge at Hartland, New Brunswick is 390.8 metres (1,282 ft.) long and was completed in 1899. (GWR 1998)

Largest Dumper Truck
The Terex Titan 33-19, manufactured by General Motors Corp., now operating at Westar Mine, British Columbia, has a loaded weight of 548.6 tonnes and a capacity of 317.5 tonnes. It is 17 m (56 ft.) high when tipping and its 16-cyclinder engine delivers 3,300 hp and the fuel tank holds 5,910 litres (1,300 gal.). (GWR 1998)

Largest National Park

Wood Buffalo National Park in Alberta contains 4,521,038 hectares. The park is used to preserve the wood buffalo and its habitation.

Largest Indoor Amusement Park
Galaxyland situated in the West Edmonton Mall covers 37,160 m² (400,000 ft²) of the mall. The park contains 27 rides and attractions including a 14-story, triple-loop roller coaster and a 13-story freefall ride. (GWR 2003)

Largest Swing
A 9.1-m (30-ft.) high swing was constructed in 1986 in Saskatchewan, for Uncle Herb's Amusements. It takes four riders to a height of 7.6 m (25 ft.) off the ground. (GWR 1998)

Longest Cantilever Bridge
The Quebec Bridge (Pont de Quebec) over the St. Lawrence River has the longest cantilever truss span measuring 549 m (1,800 ft) between piers and 987 m (3,239 ft) overall that carries a railway track and two roadways. Work began in 1900 and was opened on December 3, 1917 having cost $22.5 million and 87 lives. (GWR 2004)

Tallest Building
The C.N. Tower in Toronto is tallest free-standing structure in the world at 553.34 metres (1,815 ft 5 in). Construction of the concrete tower began on February 12, 1973 and was completed on April 2, 1975. (GWR 2003)

Largest Retractable Roof
The SkyDome in Toronto has a retractable roof that covers 3.2 hectares (8 acres), spans 209 m (674 ft) at its widest point and rises to 86 m (282 ft). It weighs 11,000 tonnes (24.6 million lb), the same weight as 6,000 cars. (GWR 2003)

Largest Shopping Centre
The West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton covers an area of 492 km² (5.3 million ft²). It cost $1.2 billion Can ($789 billion US) and has over 800 stores and services. It also has the largest parking lot with a capacity of over 20,000. (GWR 2003)

The PATH walkway in Toronto has 16.8 miles of shops with 4 million ft² of retail space. (GWR 2001)

Tallest Totem Pole
The 180.2-ft Spirit of Lekwammen that took nine months to carve was erected in August 1994 in Victoria, British Columbia. It was partially dismantled three years later, but the base section of approximately 49 ft in height remains at the site. (GWR 2001)

Tallest Unsupported Flagpole
A steel pole measuring 86 m (282 ft.) tall and weighing 54,400 kg (120,000 lb.) was erected on August 22, 1985 at the Canadian Expo'86 exhibition in Vancouver. (GWR 1998)
