The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory is located 2,072 m (6,800 ft) below ground in the Inco Creighton Mine in Ontario. It consists a vessel with a diameter of 2 m (39 ft) containing around 900 tonnes (1.9 million lb) of heavy water. (GWR 2004)

The SLC972C colour scanner produced by Widecom Group Inc. of Brampton, Ontario, has a 1.82-m (6-ft) scan width. The Canadarm 2, built by the Canadian Space Agency, measures 17.5 m (57.7 ft) in length and weighs 1,641 kg (3,618 lb). It was attached to the International Space Station on April 22, 2001, by Chris Hadfield and American Scott Parazynski. (GWR 2002)
